These tracks were recorded in 2006 by Darren Van Niekerk at The Sonic Temple and mixed by Ed Renzi in Halifax. The production was made possible by a generous grant from Nova Scotia Tourism, Culture and Heritage.

AST’s influences include Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, and Prince; the rappers Common and Mos Def; Radiohead and Thom Yorke; Rufus Wainwright, Leslie Feist, Ron Sexsmith and Hawksley Workman. The group also performs its own compositions.
